1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Neighborhold ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including Neighborholders, customers, and visitors.

2. Service Description

Neighborhold is a platform that connects neighbors to securely hold packages for each other. Our services include:

  • Matching customers with verified Neighborholders
  • Facilitating secure package holding and delivery
  • Processing payments between parties
  • Providing tracking and verification services
  • Resolving disputes through our verification system

3. Neighborholder Requirements

3.1 Eligibility

To become a Neighborholder, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a valid state ID
  • Have valid homeowners or renters insurance
  • Complete the registration and verification process
  • Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

3.2 Backup Neighborholders

You may add family, friends, or neighbors as backup Neighborholders to your profile. All backup Neighborholders must meet the same eligibility requirements (valid state ID and insurance).

4. Neighborholder Responsibilities

4.1 Package Handling

  • Accept packages only within your specified service radius
  • Store packages securely and according to customer instructions
  • Maintain packages in good condition
  • Respect storage limit days agreed upon

4.2 Delivery Notifications

  • Send tracking numbers to customers and track deliveries
  • Notify customers if packages are not delivered according to ETA
  • Take photos of packages after delivery
  • Forward delivery photos to customers via app and text messages as needed
  • Forward delivery photos to Neighborhold for verification

4.3 Dispute Reporting

Neighborholders must notify Neighborhold immediately if any disputes arise. Delivery photos will be used to verify delivery and resolve disputes.

4.4 GS1 Code System

Neighborhold assigns GS1 codes to customers for confirmed delivery pickup. After each pickup, codes are recycled. If someone other than the customer needs to pick up, the customer must forward the Neighborholder's message along with the one-time personal 5-digit code.

5. Pricing and Payments

5.1 Pricing Structure

  • Small packages: $5
  • Medium boxes: $8
  • Large boxes: $15
  • Late fees: $2 per day after the pickup window

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through our platform using the payout method specified by Neighborholders. Neighborhold may charge service fees as disclosed at the time of transaction.

6. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate delivery information
  • Pick up packages within the agreed timeframe
  • Pay agreed fees promptly
  • Forward GS1 codes to authorized pickup persons if needed
  • Report any issues or disputes promptly

7. Photo Usage and Verification

By using Neighborhold, you agree that:

  • Delivery photos may be shared with customers for confirmation
  • Delivery photos may be stored by Neighborhold for verification purposes
  • Delivery photos may be used to resolve disputes
  • Neighborhold has the right to use these photos as described in our Privacy Policy

8. Preferred Neighborholder Status

Preferred Neighborholder status is a LIMITED TIME OFFER for early registered users. This status:

  • Helps your profile stand out
  • May help grow your customer base
  • Is subject to availability and terms at the time of registration
  • May be modified or discontinued by Neighborhold at any time

9. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purposes
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Use automated systems to access the Platform without authorization

10. Dispute Resolution

10.1 Internal Resolution

Neighborhold uses delivery photos and service records to verify deliveries and resolve disputes. Both Neighborholders and customers must notify Neighborhold immediately if disputes arise.

10.2 Arbitration

Any disputes that cannot be resolved internally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

Neighborhold acts as a platform connecting neighbors. We are not responsible for:

  • Package loss, damage, or theft
  • Disputes between Neighborholders and customers
  • Actions or omissions of users
  • Third-party services or products

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Account Termination

Neighborhold reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Failure to meet eligibility requirements
  • Any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform and its users

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

12. Intellectual Property

The Neighborhold platform, including its design, features, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our written permission.

"Bringing Neighbor's Back Togetherâ„¢" is a trademark of Neighborhold.

13. Changes to Terms

Neighborhold reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
